6th Street Garden
Jersey City residents G & B reached out looking for a design refresh that expanded the size of their patio, kept the existing pavers, and brought a refreshed planting palette to their garden. Land of the Living designed a new bluestone and crushed stone patio that wrapped around the existing concrete pavers and brought in a cohesive planting scheme of native plants to weave in with their existing garden.
Hardscape construction was done by Hufnagel Landscaping and planting was done by the client.
K., Helen, and Figgy
Land of the Living worked with blossoming gardener K to develop a new planting palette for her Jersey City garden. K was eager to bring her garden to the next level and had a lot of love for it, including an inherited statue christened “Helen” and a beloved potted fig tree “Figgy,”, but was not sure where and how to start. Together, we started a first season of implementing a new planting design and worked together to make other updates to the space, such as repositioning existing benches and rejuvenating the stone pathways.
