A NEW PATIO FOR G. & B.

Jersey City residents G & B reached out looking for a design refresh that expanded the size of their patio, kept the existing pavers, and brought a refreshed planting palette to their garden. Land of the Living designed a new bluestone and crushed stone patio that wrapped around the existing concrete pavers and brought in a cohesive planting scheme of native plants to weave in with their existing garden.

Hardscape construction was done by Hufnagel Landscaping and planting was done by the client.

K., HELEN, & FIGGY

Land of the Living worked with blossoming gardener K to develop a new planting palette for her Jersey City garden. K was eager to bring her garden to the next level and had a lot of love for it, including an inherited statue christened “Helen” and a beloved potted fig tree “Figgy,”, but was not sure where and how to start. Together, we started a first season of implementing a new planting design and worked together to make other updates to the space, such as repositioning existing benches and rejuvenating the stone pathways. We continue our work together as K and her garden grow together.
